Gaming
Grand Theft Auto and EA Sports FC may dominate today's gaming world, but for collectors, the real excitement can be found in much older—and considerably less sophisticated—machines.
For the generation that grew up playing games during the 1980s and 1990s, those old consoles and cartridges are more than pieces of outdated technology. They are reminders of childhood: Saturday afternoons spent battling friends, games played after school and the excitement of opening a new cartridge or cassette.
As that generation gets older, many are rediscovering the technology they grew up with—and they are willing to pay for it. What was once considered obsolete is now becoming increasingly collectible.
